Peeping Tom came out in 1960, right around the time Psycho came out. It is another one of the films that truly pioneered the genre. Loner Mark Lewis, works at a film studio during the day and takes sexy photographs at women by night. He's also making a documentary on fear, which he captures his victims reactions as he murders them. He befriends Helen, the daughter of the family living in the apartment below his, and he tells her vaguely about the movie he is making. She sneaks into Mark's apartment to watch it and is horrified by what she sees, especially when Mark catches her.
Review: This movie was okay, no where as near as good as Psycho, but it also was considered a major flop and ruined the directors career, as compared to psycho. Overall, I'd give it 3/5 stars. I respect it for pioneering the genre, but its also just a slow, boring movie. With all the remakes, reboots, etc coming out, this one they should definitely modernize!
